Tottenham Transfers

With Paulinho and Chadli done deals and Soldado just needing a medical, it seems like it could be the best transfer window in a while for Tottenham Hotspur. Even if we have to sell one of the best players in the world. But who else could be on their way to the lane? Fábio Coentrão : The Portuguese left-back is second choice at Real Madrid to highly rated Marcelo. After an appalling season from Assou-Ekotto and Danny Rose needing a bit more experience, Coentrão would fit right in at Spurs. Coentrão can also play at left midfield and centre midfield if necessary in case Chadli gets injured or even if Parker needs to rest his legs. With Bale leaving, Coentrão may be heading the other way. He signed from Benfica for £26 million but I could easily see him coming to the lane for just £10 million. Álvaro Morata : The Spanish youngster is also currently at Real Madrid but there were rumours suggesting that we were asking for him to be part of the Bale deal. The 20 year old has scored 2 goals in his career in the Real Madrid first team in a total of 14 appearances. He has never been first choice at Real Madrid with Mourinho once saying 'that he needs to grow up'. When there was a place available in the Real Madrid squad, Morata wasn't called up and instead Emmanuel Adebayor was being signed. How ironic. Luis Suárez : If you are reading this you may be bit surprised with me including this man in this list. But come on, with 23 goals in 33 appearances in the league last season, who wouldn't want him in their squad? He won't be easy to get. Arsenal are also going for the Uruguayan man and bid £40,000,001 in order to trigger a clause in his contract which meant that Suárez is allowed to speak to Arsenal. Liverpool are very unwilling to sell him however and they always refer back to how Suárez should stay loyal to the club after everything they have done for him. If you didn't know already, Suárez is a very troublesome man but has a good sense of humour it appears. He recently starred in an advert in which he openly mocked himself and his reputation. If Bale is leaving, we'll need someone to score the goals, and it may take Soldado a while to settle in. That's all for now, however I may be releasing another article regarding who could be leaving the lane. Thanks For Reading, @_HotspurNews
